Time for the second installment already??? I hope you got your first installment done.
This time, you get three more block patterns for the Springtime in Arrow Rock quilt:
One of them is that big pink Rosebud block at the top center. I love that one, and it’s fun to make. I’ve included an extra project idea sheet for that block this month, if you’re participating. If you’re not signed up yet, it’s seriously not too late to jump in and do this with us. You can find the options and purchase your pattern in my Etsy shop.
If you’re signed up, your packets are on the way. I hope you’re having fun with it so far.
One of the techniques used this time is the Fast Flying Geese method of making Flying Geese units with no waste, no special ruler required, and no sewing of triangles. If you’re not a participant in the BOM, you can still find a tutorial on that method that I wrote HERE. It can be adapted for any block or quilt that needs Flying Geese units.
So keep an eye out for your packet to arrive (or watch your email for the PDF version), or go get signed up if you’d like to join in but haven’t yet (more info HERE); if you have any questions about any of it, just give me a holler! Happy Stitching!
PS: If your packet (or email) doesn’t arrive, please let me know. We had one get lost last month, and I want to be sure everyone is getting them.
Oooooh! I love that big pink Rosebud!
I received my patterns in the mail today. Thank you.
I’ve printed month one and I’m getting my fabrics ready to start sewing. I’m a little late joining in but that’s ok. I should be caught up with everyone soon. Thanks Shelly for such a lovely sew along.
i received mine today, I have to say that i have not done last months as i have been trying to finish up a couple of quilts for people, but i will get on them in the next week or so and in between time i have been working on blocks
I am ironing a little over 900 sig blocks to be used at a 80th birthday party in September so will have a little more time to work on other things.
It is way to hot out to be doing a lot outside but water water and water some more, as i have been watering in the morning and in the evening, spent to much on these plants to just let them die
happy quilting one and all
