I’m back today to show you another quilt I made for the Stitch ‘n’ Sparkle booth at Quilt Market. This one is completely adorable, and I’m pretty sure it’s been a really popular pattern, because I’ve seen it before, and I know some of my friends have made it.
This one is called “Mommy and Me”:
It’s a pattern designed by Colette Belt of QP Designs (Quilters Paradise). I think you can find the pattern on Etsy if you do a search for it: Mommy and Me Quilt Pattern.
Stitch ‘n’ Sparkle asked me to make this one out of their new collection, Nursery Flannel. It is soooooo soft! And it’s a dream to sew with. I love the addition of the rick-rack trim on this!
This quilt is another one that is really quick to make. Very basic patchwork and really large appliqué pieces make it go together fast.
I quilted it with an all-over meander, going around the appliqué pieces. I wish now I had put more quilting inside the elephants, because they’re sort of looking like Saggy Baggy Elephants instead — live and learn!
Here’s a picture of it hanging in their booth at Quilt Market. The dolls were made by Littles By Bella. Look at their little dresses! Aren’t they cute?
My sister has made several of these for quick baby gifts, and they’re always a hit! We’ve even inked the baby’s name, birth date, and height/weight on the balloons for an extra touch.
So cute and I have 3 little Greatgrandchildren.
Please pick me.
I could use that fabric
My sister made one of these, and it’s so cute! I’m pretty sure that I quilted it the same way!
Super cute!!
More fabric is always good!
Soo cute! Love the elephants and the rick rack.
Lovely.
So cute and adorable!
I’ve made 2 mommy and me quilts. Love the pattern, very easy.
Very cute!!!
Ok I’m in need a Baby Quilt for 2019!
Love your site!
Seems there is always a baby on the way.
I made lots of children’s quilts for Festival of Sharing. This would come in handy.
I’m feeling saggy and baggy after a busy week of travel. Can you quilt people??? Once every decade should do it. LOL
I don’t have any grandchildren, but like to make baby quilts to be given where they are needed. If I won I would donate the baby quilts to the survivors of the Camp Fire in northern Ca.
Love it!
I love making crib quilts for our Baby Grace program, so would put it to good use.
Really cute………love that it’s flannel!
nice fabric
Cute pattern! Looks easy and quick, just up my alley!
I have a 22-month-old great-niece who would love a quilt made from those fabrics! I hope my name is drawn. I’ve made a quilt with mother and baby elephants similar to yours. I wish I had thought to put balloons on their tails!
Cute! I have a great-niece on the way. Love the elephants!
So cute!! Love how the elephants stand out against the background!
What a cute quilt !
So adorable and the elephants can be blue for a boy. Thanks for the chance, Shelly. I could make a charity baby quilt with that flannel.

The word “soft” caught my attention! I like the baby quilt pattern, too.

That’s a really sweet baby quilt. Love how you quilted it. I actually really like how the applique looks, without alot of quilting. Thanks for the give-away. I can see making some soft pillowcases for my daughter; she’d love those prints!
