I’m back today to show you another quilt I made for the Stitch ‘n’ Sparkle booth at Quilt Market. This one is completely adorable, and I’m pretty sure it’s been a really popular pattern, because I’ve seen it before, and I know some of my friends have made it.
This one is called “Mommy and Me”:
It’s a pattern designed by Colette Belt of QP Designs (Quilters Paradise). Go check out her website, because she has lots of cute patterns. The one with the piggy taking a bath has me all googly-eyed — it’s so cute!
Stitch ‘n’ Sparkle asked me to make this one out of their new collection, Nursery Flannel. It is soooooo soft! And it’s a dream to sew with. You can see the entire Nursery Flannel collection (and purchase it) HERE. I love the addition of the rick-rack trim on this!
This quilt is another one that is really quick to make. Very basic patchwork and really large appliqué pieces make it go together fast.
I quilted it with an all-over meander, going around the appliqué pieces. I wish now I had put more quilting inside the elephants, because they’re sort of looking like Saggy Baggy Elephants instead — live and learn!
Here’s a picture of it hanging in their booth at Quilt Market. The dolls were made by Littles By Bella. Look at their little dresses! Aren’t they cute?
I also had leftovers from this quilt, so I’m having another give-away!
This is the bundle that’s up for grabs this time:
There’s a lot of fabric here! You might be able to make yourself an elephant quilt with it!
And if you don’t want to make an elephant quilt, no worries. I’m throwing in with the fabric a copy of my “Baby, Baby!” pattern, so you’ll have options — have I ever mentioned how much I love options?
All you have to do to be entered to win is leave a comment on this post. I’ll draw for a winner on Tuesday, November 20th.
UPDATE: The winner is . . . lucky #13 . . . Janet Smith! She can make a baby quilt for the next Festival of Sharing!
