What better pattern to feature in May than my Mayflowers pattern??
I designed this quilt to teach at the 2016 Arrow Rock Quilt Camp, and guess what’s going on the first week of this month, as well? The Arrow Rock Quilt Camp, once again! I’m not teaching there any more, but I thought it was a good time to feature this pattern.
It’s an easy appliqué pattern, surrounded on two sides by patchwork:

I made two different color options for my samples.

You can put your appliqué on a plain background, or a pieced background. And there are lots of options for other projects to make from the pattern, included in the pattern, so if you’re not a fan of the asymmetrical look, no worries!
The pattern is on special throughout the month of May in either the print or PDF version for only $5. The print version is almost sold out, and when it’s gone, it’s gone, and will only be available in the PDF version after that. Now’s your chance to grab it on sale, no coupon code needed! Have a wonderful month of May!
You can also read a little more about Mayflowers HERE.
UPDATE: The print version sold out already, so it’s only available in the PDF version.
What fun! Looking forward to making this.
I took your class on this in 2016 and really enjoyed making this quilt. You may recall I surrounded the center block with the outer blocks as well as adding a second row of outer blocks to the top and bottom to make a larger rectangular quilt.
I also substituted the center appliqué block for the larger basket block in the Arrow Rock Camp quilt you designed to highlight a personal memory of the camp experience for me.
Thanks for teaching me needle turn appliqué 😁
