Some of you are well over 350 blocks already! I’m impressed.
How did you do this month?
Me? I got 36 more blocks made.
One was an exchange block for guild that I forgot to take a picture of.
I made 24 blocks for 2 quilts that I’ll show you a bit later, once I’m allowed to.
I started this quilt at a Paula Party at Sew Sweet Quilt Shop this past month. What’s a Paula Party, you ask? It’s a day where we go work on a specific project chosen by them, and they serve us food made from Paula Deen recipes. And yes, I go more for the food and the quilting company than anything — I have enough UFOs! Here’s one of my blocks, still freshly wrinkled from being shoved in my carry-around tote:
It’s layer cake friendly, but I’m drowning in fabric here, so I used my scraps. I’m using all cowboy fabrics. Just let me state for the record right now, that this entire quilt did not even make a small dent in the cowboy fabric stash that I have. Hmm . . .
So that’s it for me. Gives me a grand total now of 224. I’m still ahead of the game! I was beginning to wonder if I’d be able to keep up, as slow as I was going there for awhile.
Now it’s your turn. Comment, post, link, email, or contact me with your totals for June, and I’ll get the page updated with your new totals. I’ve got the Project page updated with the new total for July, which is 30 more blocks, for a yearly total of 200 blocks! We’re on our way to 350 — woohoo!
And, I was so busy last month, I forgot to draw a winner for the May prize package, so I’ll announce that now. It is:
There you have it! Now — go forth and sew! Have a great month of July!
