When I introduced Brunswick Forest to you a few weeks ago, I mentioned that a third setting option would be available for this BOM quilt.
If you’re not a fan of the larger pieced settings shown in the original versions (which you can see HERE), this alternate setting is a simpler setting that makes a smaller finished quilt.
Meet Scrappy Brunswick Forest:
This version uses all 12 blocks, plus one block made up of the little Maple Leaves to fill in. (If you don’t want that block, you could use a plain block, or repeat your favorite tree to fill that spot.)
The setting instructions for this version are a free download, available here: ScrappyBrunswickForest. You WILL also need the regular pattern booklet for Brunswick Forest so that you have all the tree patterns as well, since I won’t be repeating those for this version — this file is setting instructions only.
The Brunswick Forest pattern booklet is only available through Sew Sweet Quilt Shop, and you can give them a call at 660.548.3056 to order it. They plan to send out the free Scrappy Brunswick Forest setting instructions along with the booklets. (So if you already have your booklet, you can still download the additional setting instructions for this version for free at the link above.)
Each month (on second Saturday), I’ll be highlighting the block we’re working on, and talking more about the quilts, and the settings, and providing any extra hints and tips I can think of. This program starts on Saturday (9/11), so go get signed up! I think Sew Sweet is going to be running this as a Quilt-Along on their Facebook group as well, so if you’re not already a part of their fun group, go join — you can do that HERE.
For all the posts related to this BOM, check HERE.
Also, on Tuesday, the 14th, I’ll be announcing another quilt-along that goes with this. So be sure and check in on Saturday and Tuesday to find out more!

So excited to get this one started. I have my pattern. You hit this one out of the park.
Take care
That is a really pretty quilt, and I LOVE that backing fabric! I will watch this one from the sidelines, sadly, but will enjoy seeing the progress!
Love love love this pattern! I think I have plenty of scraps for this one!
OMG! I thought I loved the original pattern – which I bought. But I love, love, love this third setting!!! For the first time in my life I may have to make 2 versions of the same quilt😘😘😘😘
