100 Days!

Posted on September 23, 2020 by prairiemoonquilts in Challenges

Yes, it’s already that time again! That magical day when there are only 100 days left in the year! And fall has officially begun.

Time for me to once again make my list of “100 Things To Do In The Next 100 Days”.

I find that I’m usually too completely pie-in-the-sky with my lists, so this time, I’m trying to pull myself down to earth a bit and make a more realistic list. (Key word: realistic — I have trouble with that!) I’ve yet to ever accomplish all 100 things on my list — I think my highest record is 37, which is not very good.

So I’m attempting to beat my highest record this time around. I’m being very thoughtful and careful with my list. I’d like to get really close to 100 for the first time! So we’ll see . . .

This time around, here are a few things I have on my list:

My book is slowly getting filled up with my lists!

By the way, my lists are all quilting-related things (with a couple knitting or sewing things thrown in), but you could make one for any area of your life. I’m sure I could make a list of 100 remodeling projects that need to be done around here, but where’s the fun in that?

You can look back at my previous posts on this, if you want a little more inspiration, too:

So how about you?

What will you be doing with the last 100 days of 2020?

Oh, heavens, I don’t know yet, but I do appreciate the nudge to get in gear and make that list. I put together a quilt top, granted it was a small one, in two days, so I may be in a roll!

scraps into what ever will work

Hah! I love the way you organise. Me, I’ll be happy to finish the wedding quilt! It is impossible to make plans here as everything changes each time – no names mentioned but HRH is one big frustrating person for changing things! Of course making a list is helpful to a point – I just forget to write on it! LOL!

  4. I went ahead and cut big projects down into smaller pieces. I know I’ll finish more than one in a day, so maybe the larger ones will even out. LOL
I did OK in 2018, but I don’t see a list for last year.
I posted mine on my blog. https://melsquiltingblog.blogspot.com/p/100-days.html

All I can say is, I hope 2021 isn’t as crazy as 2020. Hard to believe there’s only 100 days left. I obviously haven’t thought about what I should do. Something fun to think about tonight!

Shelly, best of luck with your list this year. I am excited I got my scrap basket cut & stored. So it is an empty basket on my cutting table. Thank you for motivating me with your organization challenge.
    Have a great day today.

Yikes!! 100?? I would have to put making a list of 100 things on the list.

I’m kind of cheating because I know I won’t be able to think of 100 projects. But, with going to retreat next month (pack suitcase, go to pharmacy, go to bank), hopefully some of the block sets (8) will be sewn into a top. Then there are 3 pillowcase kits to finish and mail 2 quilt tops to friends. There’s 16 right there! I’ve already done 3 things today that I had been putting off. lol I hate making phone calls!!! But, if I count them in my 100 list, at least there’s a plus for me!!!! 🙂

I have made a100 date challenge for the beginning of the year but never the end. I keep a book with daily to dos. So at be I can # them. Would like to see some project progress by end of year.

Wow Shelly! You are very adventuresome. I hope you can get your 100 things accomplished.

I know I’m late at this challenge, but would love to join in. I’ll be adding a tab with my list of 100 things to do. Not sure if I have that many things to do, but I’ll give it a try.
    Have a great day!
