It’s National Sewing Machine Day!
I’m giving my sewing machine the day off, since I have other things to work on that I don’t need her for today.
But I’m using this day as the impetus for this week’s task:
OR
You can choose which one you need to do most, or do them both!
I’m sure my little Janome could use a good de-linting under the throat plate. The buildup is always so bad so fast! And I have a pile of pieces laying beside her ready to press. I suppose I should find time to deal with those, too.
I know you’re probably also wanting an after picture of my cutting table from last week.
Here’s the before, if you remember:
Well, here’s the after:
I’m no better off than I was! I cleaned it off partway, then piled it right back up again! It’s hopeless!
Enjoy your National Sewing Machine Day and give your special machine a little extra TLC!
Hmm, your work table looks like mine! I think mine is worse. I’ve got a few piles I need to clear from my table and ironing board. Tomorrow is the day.
I actually made progress on the cutting and pressing tables.
they will get dirty again, but I’m happy now.

The sewing machine area is another story. I don’t think it ever stays clean.
Thanks for keeping me motivated.
Look at it this way – if your cutting table is messy, it’s just a sign that you’ve been creating and that’s always a good thing!
I must have ESP. I cleaned my sewing machine Sunday afternoon because I just couldn’t get organized enough to do anything else. It really, really needed it, too.
Your pictures make me breathe a sigh of relief. At least someone else is like me 🙂 When I get home, I need to de-clutter my sewing table. I have just recently cleaned out my machine (yay for me)! Keep working at it — sooner or later you’ll just need to shift it around (from one who knows)! Heehee.
