The Witching Hour Is Close At Hand

Halloween is fast approaching, so it’s high time you were getting your Halloween stitching on, don’t you think?

I’m here today to tempt you with a few projects . . .

Last year for Halloween I made this quilt:

It’s made from my AmpersAnd pattern, and instead of appliquéing the ampersand on it, I drew this huge cuddly spider and put on there! I had fun fussy cutting lots of different Halloween prints to fill the quilt top up with wicked goodness. I’ve made the spider appliqué a free download on my Free Patterns page, so you can hop over there and get it for yourself.

Reduce or enlarge the spider to suit yourself and put one on all sorts of things. I think this year, I’ll make a spider pillow!

And speaking of pillows, the tutorial for this pillow and wall quilt are free HERE:

The pillow itself is actually for sale in my Etsy Shop, if you want one but don’t want to make it for yourself — but there’s only one ready made, so if you want it, you gotta act fast!

If you’d prefer to make a larger, more-involved version of The Three Witches, you can purchase the full pattern for The Three Witches HERE in my Etsy Shop.

The Three Witches pattern and the AmpersAnd pattern are both available in print or PDF versions in my Etsy shop, and they are both discounted (in both formats) from now until November 6th, no coupon code necessary.

Happy Halloween Stitching!

I should borrow that spider quilt sometime and have daughter Linda open it. She would just go nuts. Happy Halloween, Linda Boo.

  2. Great quilt, nice work on the spider! Such a good idea to replace the ampersand 🙂
