The Final Countdown, 2015

Posted on December 28, 2015 by prairiemoonquilts in The Final Countdown

We have arrived at the time for the 7th Annual Final Countdown!

I can hardly believe we’ve been doing this for 7 years already. My, how time does fly!

If you’ve done this with us before, then welcome back. If you’re new here, I hope you’ll join in with us this time. Here’s how it works . . .

  • Beginning tomorrow, I’ll post a task for you to do each day for three days in a row; a different task each day.
  • Your job is to do the task, if you so desire.
  • After you’ve done the task, leave a comment on the post that you did it, and how it went for you. If you want to write a blog post of your own and link back to it, that’s great — we all love stories, and photographic evidence!
  • I’m offering up a prize for each task, so be sure and leave a comment for each task that you complete. You’re only eligible for the prize for that task if you did the task and left your comment. If you do all three, you’ll have three chances to win. How many you choose to do is completely up to you. Easy!

I’ll give you till January 4th to complete all the tasks and leave your comments. I’ll draw for the three winners late in the day on the 4th. That should give you time to get to them all, right?

So there you have it — simple rules, and prizes!

Check back in tomorrow, when I’ll post the first task. Are you ready?

I have just discovered Prairie Moon Quilts! Great fun! I just printed the 52 wks of 2015 Studio Org Challenge pages–I am in dire need of the challenge. Moved my LA here from MN (to MO) in 2006 and assembled; haven’t seen it since because it was in one of the only dry, safe rooms at the time. It is buried. I WANT my Studio & LA!!! Challenge is in a binder to use & make notes. Thank you for this help! Happy New Year to Everyone! pj stitches!

I did a 36, 6×6 inch blocks ( strips paper piecing ) quilt as you go baby quilt for December. Finished it last night about 1:30. Actually this morning to be technical. Now I’m on a mission to finish all I’ve started these many years to get them off my mind. Wish me luck. I have 2 down and who knows how many more. Just taking it one at a time. Whatever my hand gets a hold onto is the present project.

Your timing is perfect as my husband and I are swapping rooms (his office, my sewing room) so I have to physically touch everything in my room over the next few days anyway! Looking forward to completing your tasks.

Well, I didn’t make it in time for the prizes, but I did use your motivation and got the Polka Dot Posie downloadable Small Seasonal Version of the Planner System. Thank you so much for sharing it with the rest of us. I may even be able to use it for other projects. Keep up the great work!
