The 350 Blocks Project, July Report

Posted on July 31, 2013 by prairiemoonquilts in 350 Blocks Project

Well, that month flew by in a hurry!

How did you all do with your block counts?

It didn’t feel like I got much sewing time in, but I actually did better on my block count this past month than I have in previous months. I guess that’s what a deadline or two will do for you, huh?

I made 45 of the blocks for this quilt, which you can read more about HERE:GCross2

I made 20 blocks for this quilt, which you can read more about (and get the free pattern for) HERE:finishedquilt

I made one block I can’t show you just yet, and 3 more Postage Stamp blocks:PostageStamp3

And I made this block for this little table topper, which was to help introduce a new challenge that you can read more about HERE:cowboywedding

That’s a total of 70 for the month. I think this is my best month yet! And I still wish I had done more.

How did you do?

Leave your comment below, or contact me with your updated totals, and I’ll get the 350 Blocks Project page updated, and you’ll be in the drawing for the monthly prizes. For July, we needed to get to 198 blocks, and I have the page updated with the new information for what you need to accomplish in August, so go check it out.

And while we’re on the subject of prizes, here are June’s prize winners:

For making it to the goal of 167 blocks by the end of June, the winner is Deanna!

And just for participating, at whatever rate, the winner is Melissa P., who actually also met the goal of 167. Hooray for random drawings, huh?

If you write a post about your blocks, please leave us a link. I can’t wait to see what you’re working on, and I DO visit just to see. Sometimes it makes me want to start a new project, but I’m trying my best to resist. I have enough to work on!

Hey, you have some great projects, and made up some of your deficit from before. Congratulations! I have 31 blocks for the month, and 241 for a total.

  7. Cathy Poyner says:

Hey Shelly, My total went up way to much for July. I don’t know my exact total, but it should be closer to the goal than 528. Could you check it out?
    Thanks, Cathy

Hi Shelly: I missed the report for June because we were out of town for the 4th of July. My total was pretty slim anyway because I quilted and bound a quilt. June total = 7 blocks.

For July I did a little better. I was up to 17 blocks including some hexies for a new project I’m working on. The hexies are in 3 different sizes and I am going to applique them. I’m using the little tiny hexagon papers that you sent me as part of my January prize. They are so stinkin’ cute. 🙂

    Good morning!

July’s total was 63, I think. I looked at my records last night and now that I’m ready to write it down, I’m not sure–argh! Anybody else like that?

I’m plugging away and have a lot more done for August. August is going to be great!!

  10. Man, you kicked a** this past month! I’m still not fairing well! Haha!
