The 2013 Final Countdown

Posted on December 28, 2013 by prairiemoonquilts in The Final Countdown

Can you believe it’s already time once again for The Final Countdown?

My grandmother used to always say: “The older I get, the faster time flies.” I know exactly what she meant! This entire year just got away from me so fast.

I hope you’re all ready for your tasks over the next few days. I’m telling you right now, I think this is gonna be very hard for me this time. I think it’ll be much easier for all of you. I can’t imagine anyone else being as disorganized as I am right now. But I need it to get me on track for the New Year.

So . . .

In case you haven’t gotten in on it before, or don’t remember, here’s how The Final Countdown works:

* Each day, for the next 3 days, I’ll assign you a task.

* Your job is to do the task.

* When you’ve done the task, comment on that day’s post, and either link to a blog post you’ve written about it, or just leave a comment telling us all how you did. You can comment on each day’s post, as you do each task. Even if you don’t do the task (or if you’re a super overachiever and already have it done), you can still comment for a chance at the prizes.

* You have until noon, January 5th, 2014, to complete all the tasks, and leave your comments. At that time, I will draw one prize for each task from the comments left on each task’s post. That’s three winners.

And hopefully, you’ll be starting off 2014 a bit more organized, a bit more motivated, and somewhat inspired. Check back tomorrow for your first task . . .

Did we do this last year? The year passed so fast that I can’t remember what happened last January. Like watching a movie in fast forward. LOL
And at my age I distrust anything called the Final Countdown!!

Sounds familiar, but I don’t remember if I did the tasks or not! LOL Ok, bring it on, Shelly!! I can always be more organized.

I’m in. I need to get organized. This is my break from classes, so it is a great time for me.

  4. Will this help me be organized for my move?

Of course, I am sitting here trying to anticipate what tasks you are going to assign.

What a fun video! Oh, the hair, lol!
I was hoping you’d do this again. It’s such a great way to start the year off. I’m definitely in!

I guess I’m too old for your site. I don’t get it. Of course I’m a newbie, but you have me all confused on what’s going on.

I have vague recollections of this happening last year. I’m ready to see what we need to do.

Hmm, no, that youtube didn’t do it for me. LOL I need to see what the requirements are before I commit. I’m the cautious type.

I am traveling right now to Colorado for a family ski trip, but I did bring my sewing machine for my down time. Depending on the tasks, I am in if I don’t have to be home to do them.

I am all for finding ways to be more organized.

Thanks for the Challenge! I completed all three and now my sewing room is clean (nothing on the cutting table and only the next quilt on the ironing board), an overdue Christmas gift is finished (that’s Christmas 2012) and I have a plan for my UFOs for next year.
