Did you have fun rebooting an area in your space?
I actually got way more done than I thought I would. I had to take three days off work to do it, but I’m very pleased with my progress, and hope I can keep the momentum going.
Here’s a list of some of the things I managed to accomplish:
And I’ve made HUGE progress on the next room we’ve been remodeling. This room is where my longarm is going to permanently reside (so I can get it out of the living room finally):
I finally got the floor painted, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! It’s RED! I started out painting it tan, but then I stalled, and I think it was because I just wasn’t feeling it. It was too boring. I made the decision to go with red, and I can’t believe it took me so long!
There are a few more things to get done in here, like move my storage cabinet in, hang my shelves and pegboards, cover the breaker box, and make some cute curtains. A new frame for my longarm is getting delivered at the end of the month, and that’ll take up nearly the entire room! I’ll be sure and show you all the befores, durings, and afters once I get everything in place — I’m so excited!
And I’m trying to keep going on all of this a little bit every day. Some days I simply can’t spare the time, but every little bit helps!
So what’s up for this week? Well . . . I’m a fan of Sherri’s blog, A Quilting Life, and she posted this article on “Time Management for Quilters“.
She outlines a list of 10 things we can do to make more time for quilting, and to make it easier and more productive when we find that time. My challenge to us this week, is to:
I think I’m going to go with #5, and get my lists all updated and in plain view. I also want to work on #8, so I’ll be chipping away at that one, too, most likely. Eventually, I hope to have tried them all! They’re very good tips.

Number 5 is a good one I’ll try to do, but I was intrigued by number 9, leave something to sew first thing. I like this one and will start doing it today.

Love the red floor. I toohave been tidying and purging. I have started organising myself with a to do list so I know whats next rarher than jumping around from project to project..
Remember when we used to check daily with Flylady to get organized? I wonder if she is still around. Several things on this list sounds like Flylady.
I’m going to implement #5, listing projects. I already try to do #3, meal planning, but the “regularly” part of it still needs some work!
