Studio Organizing, Week 13

Posted on March 28, 2016 by prairiemoonquilts in Studio Organizing Challenge

Well, I couldn’t do it.

I couldn’t get the top of my cutting table under control.

Believe it or not, it’s some better, but still . . . looks like a disaster struck!

I’m still working on putting away the stuff that’s laying out and not supposed to be, but honestly, the rest of it — it’s projects I’m working on! I could certainly stand to be a bit neater, however. I might not spend so much time looking for things I just had in my hand!

Maybe I’ll take another picture next week and see if it’s any better.

Can you spot my kitty helper? I had doors installed especially to keep out unwanted visitors upstairs, but this little baby insisted on being with Mommy this morning. Sometimes she’s a needy child. If I fix her a spot to lay, she gets right on it and never moves. She knows if she starts exploring, I’ll boot her out!

You’ll love this week’s task. I’m leaving it wide open for you:

Choose something YOU want to organize

Although I cover lots of areas and topics and revisit them now and again, I know not everyone has the same setup or situations I do.

So . . . this week, I want you to pick something I haven’t covered or thought of, and work on that. And let the rest of us know what it is — it might be something we need to do but simply haven’t thought of yet!

One thing I need to do is unpack at least one more box from our move (and I’m hanging my head as I tell you that was over 3 years ago). There are still 2 large unpacked boxes of quilting stuff I need to go through. If I at least get one of them done this week, I’ll be thrilled!

How about you?

What haven’t we already touched on that you see needs to be organized in your own world?

Or you can revisit something we’ve already worked on, but you just need to work on it some more. (I have a lot of those my ownself.) You can revisit the entire list of tasks from this year AND last year by clicking HERE. Browse the list and see what you can get yourself into this week!

I really had to look to find Gidget!!!

I have so much organizing to do, I’ll have to do more than one. Not sure yet what it will be though. Probably ironing board and big table.

I am taking a day this week to clean all my machines. I have 3 sewing machine and a serger that needs tending to.
That is my project this week. I got too agressive in my spring cleaning and hurt my self quite badly. So my projects will be small for a while as I heal.
I have 5, yes 5 very bad discs in my from being too agressive. I have spent the last week in agony. The Dr warned me to be a little careful. He is sending me to water therapy twice a week for 2 months. I sure hope this works.
So I will be doing little jobs for a while. As he says Housework can wait.

    Paper, paper, and more paper.

I did OK with the cutting table challenge, but the paper challenge is taking over my areas.

DH even found a box he says is mine in the garage. What is it doing there?

While there’s nothing I WANT to organize, there’s certainly a lot I NEED to organize! The floor being only one thing! We won’t discuss the work table.

I’ve been following your organization challenge but as ever been doing my own thing as can’t get near a lot of my stuff!! 😉 I have however made progress!! Of course it doesn’t help that new crafty stash has been entering my flat!! 😀

I just want to get well enough to want to organize something. I did clean the bathroom today. I figure if we’re both sick at our house, some de-germing needed to happen. I gotta go lay down.
