Stitch Pink with Moda

Posted on October 2, 2020 by prairiemoonquilts in Quilt-Alongs & Bees

As you probably know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Last year, on October 18th, I lost one of my closest, dearest friends to breast cancer. I miss her every day.

This year, Moda is hosting a Stitch Pink Quilt-Along, presenting one block each day throughout October, to make this quilt:

In honor of my friend, Cindy, and so many other friends of mine who have beat breast cancer (thank God), I’m joining in on this Quilt-Along, because I know if Cindy were still with us, she’d be doing it, too.

I’ll be doing it along with my LQS, Sew Sweet Quilt Shop, as they are posting the instructions for the daily blocks, and you can share what you’re working on in their group. To join the group, click HERE.

I plan to use scraps, which may include some pink, but I’m not doing an all-pink version.

I hope to post my daily progress on my Instagram page (@prairiemoonquilts), and I’ll pop on here with some updates as well.

If you’re so inclined, you can join in, too. It started yesterday, so it’s not too late to jump in and stay caught up. Here’s my first block:

I have my pattern printed out for today’s block, so I’m ready to go. Will you be joining me?
