Springtime in Arrow Rock, Month 6

Do you have all your blocks made? I know some of you do, and they are looking good!

Here are a few sets of blocks that have been posted in the FaceBook group . . .

From Linda:

From Klonda:

From Shirley:

From Paula:

And now . . . it’s time to starting setting it all together! Woohoo!

The next 3 installments are the setting instructions. The way they’re written includes the outer border, so if you don’t want the outer border, you can simply leave those outer strips off.

The setting is done in six sections, and you’ll get instructions for 2 sections each month. So this month, you’re getting Section 1:

And Section 2:

Notice that, once my blocks were done, I used some extra prints in my setting, along with some busier low-volumes, to add a bit more scrappiness to my background. You can tone this down and use non-busy low-volumes, if you prefer.

So, I hope you’re all caught up and ready to get started with this! Check your mail for your packets, or if you’re doing the email version, check your in box, and you can get started!

Happy Stitching!

I’ve really loved making the blocks for this quilt. I fell behind last month due to things beyond my control (I tell myself I’m doing the best I can right now). The pretty scraps and the picture of the last little blocks I need to make are set out…ready for sewing time. We are having a beautiful fall in Idaho.

I haven’t started mine yet–I’ve pulled fabric and studied the patterns–think I’ll do it as a springtime project–I am having too much fun with the maple leaves right now!!

I’m so glad you broke it up into sections – I’m not so overwhelmed !!!! (Don’t have all my block finished – but at least they’re cut!)
