If you ever only buy one quilting book in your life, this should be it!
I bought one back in the early 1990s, and the information within its covers is still as relevant today as it was back when I first bought mine. My copy has also had a lot of use — it’s pretty beat up.
So I stole a photo of it from the Iowa Quilt Museum‘s site to show you:
It’s been reprinted recently, and they have it available for sale on their site HERE. And you can get yours autographed by the authors!
It’s a fabulous resource on so many techniques, and is a great reference book to keep on hand. I highly recommend having this book in your library. Don’t hesitate to spend the money on it — it’s really worth it!
(Also, I wasn’t paid for this review — it’s just me giving you my honest opinion about this book — I’ve been recommending it to folks ever since I bought my copy way back when it first came out!)
I recently purchased this book…not that I have referred to it yet; it is in easy reach to use…after the clearing and sorting that has been happening around here!
I do not have this book nor remember ever looking inside one. But I do remember Marianne and Liz when they had their PBS tv series. Always learned something from them.
Excellent resource with easy to understand instructions. A small group of us used this as our guide for a sampler quilt and we learned so much. I always suggest this book to new Quilters. A definite “must have “.
Thanks for the information!
