It’s once again time to break open a new planner and see if it helps me get through my year!
Last year, I used a planner from Planner Envy, and I loved it. I used nearly every drop of it, and it suited me very well. Because of that, I fully intended to just get another one from them for 2025, but decided to have a look around first to see if maybe there is something new out there that might be even better for me.
Once again, I agonized over which one to get, and I shopped for weeks. There are simply so many choices, and so many of them are good, and I want one of each of them — haha!
Here were the Top Three contenders for this year, in order of how much I liked them:
You can go check each one of them out. There’s lots to love about each of them. But here’s the one I chose — from Plum Paper:

And here’s the reason why:
You get to build your own!
You get to choose your cover, your layout, your size, what pages to include, any extra sections you want, and you can even choose which dates get listed on the calendar! There are different color schemes and lots of fun add-on bundles you can get.
Because of building my own this way, I was able to take out some sections of my other notebook and have everything included right there in my main planner, which is also a plus for me. It makes Desk Day go a lot smoother and quicker.
And . . . I added in a fun section for trackers that you color in — just to add a little fun and incentive into my days!

So far, I really like it. It’s so easy to use, and I say this every year: I want my planner book to be so easy to use that I’m not spending all my time planning and not enough time actually working!
Since I write about my planner nearly every year, you can see how my setup has evolved over the years in my past posts, and maybe even find an idea or two that will work for you (or learn from my mistakes). So if you’d like to go back and revisit those, you can find them here:
I’m a Planner Nerd: this post shows how I set up my homemade planner notebook, which I still have and will still continue to use for reference info that passes from year to year. It’s just not a day-to-day notebook any more. It’s a supplement to my daily planner.
It’s That Time of Year: This post has a long list of planner sites for all types of planners. If you’re shopping for a planner, this might help. I updated the list again this year to add in the new ones I looked at. The list just keeps getting longer! It makes shopping difficult, but I DO love having options!
My 2020 Planner: I used this one for years, and altho it worked pretty well for me, I wanted something a bit more formal when 2024 started. And I love the one I chose, and it served me well. See it HERE.
My sister-in-law uses The Quilter’s Planner, and says she’s on her 8th year of using it, so see? There are all different types of planners for all different types of people, so have fun shopping around. That list above should keep you busy for awhile!
And speaking of my sister-in-law, if you’re on Instagram, go follow her over there @thequiltingintrovert — she’s a longarm quilter for hire, too!
I’m rooting for us all to have a well-planned 2025! Let’s go!
I have used the Quilter’s Planner several years. Last year I got a disc planner and designed my own, more like a bullet journal. But I am able to add my project list pages and inspiration picture pages. I even thought about cutting the project pages out of the previous planners that weren’t used and trim them down to the size of my current journal, punch holes, and insert.
those planners look really fun. I make a fabric cover for a composition book and use that. There is an easy pattern at “All People Quilt” that works well. I really like the tracker you had. That would be fun.
