Pink Tulips Baby Quilt

Posted on April 5, 2022 by prairiemoonquilts in My Patterns, Quilts

I’m back with another pink baby quilt today.

This one is called Pink Tulips:

I made it using one of the blocks from my BOM quilt, Sew Sweet Sampler — Block 5, to be exact — so if you have the Sew Sweet Samplers pattern, you already have this block pattern, too! If not, you can purchase the pattern HERE. It comes in either the print or PDF version.

This sweet quilt was made with all scraps from my stash (I must have a LOT of pink), and white solid for the background.

I used more scraps for a border of random rectangles, and another pink 30s reproduction print for the binding.

For the quilting, I simply outlined each star and the edges of each block. I quilted an X in each border rectangle.

This is what’s on the back. Someone gave me this piece, and it’s wider than 45″, and there was a huge chunk of the pink version, and a huge chunk of the blue version. I thought it would make super sweet backing for baby quilts, so I put some of the pink on this one.

It’s pre-washed to be extra snuggly, and is off on its way to a new home with a sweet babe.

Here are the details . . .

  11. At first sight, I thought this was a vintage quilt! The shades of the pinks are perfect, and even the backing evokes that kind of charm. It’s so lovely.
