Love in Chains II

Posted on September 7, 2024 by prairiemoonquilts in My Patterns

Way back in 2015 (how is that already so long ago?), I designed this cute throw quilt for Dear Stella to showcase some of their fabrics. For a while, they offered it as a free pattern on their site, but as things have evolved over time, it’s no longer there.

So . . . I’ve moved it over here to my Free Patterns page. So it’s once again available as a free pattern, which you can acquire for your ownself right HERE!

But along with that, I did a little extra, and wrote a second, even scrappier, version of Love in Chains, which we will call Love in Chains II.

While it was originally designed as a Valentine’s quilt, it honestly works for any time and for anyone you wanna show a bit of love to!

Which one do you like better? Either one is really fun to make. And did I mention it’s a good way to use up some scraps?

Here are the details:

You can download the original pattern version HERE for free. The original version does not include the additional instructions for Love in Chains II.

But . . .

There is a for-purchase version of the pattern, which does contain both versions, available in my Etsy shop for only $5.

While you’re over at my Etsy shop, be sure and check out my other $5 (and under) patterns. There are quite a few! You might find a new favorite.

I think it would also be adorable with pumpkins to replace the hearts. Wish I had time to make it before Halloween.

Thank you for the information for the free pattern! It’s a great pattern! I like both versions, though it looks like a great scrap/stash buster if you have lots of smaller pieces to use up.
