It’s Panel Challenge Voting Time!

Here we go!

I hope I’ve got this working.

I’ve tested it to the best of my ability, and I had My Cowboy try it, and if HE can get it to work, then it must be working — haha!

We ended up with 46 entries! I’m completely blown away by this! I really appreciate all of you who joined me in this challenge and entered a project. I kinda threw it out there simply to make myself use up something I had laying around, and it took on a life of its own, and . . . it’s been super fun.

Step One: Go browse all the entries in the Panel Challenge. I had to put them all on a page of their own. They’re shown in thumbnail view for the sake of page loading time. Please take the time to click on them, tho, and see the bigger view of each one. The thumbnails do NOT do them justice at all. You will want to see them — the ideas contained in these entries for things you can do with panels are all wonderful! I’m really inspired with some ideas for the rest of the panels I’ve amassed.

Step Two: When you’re done browsing, make note of the maker and title of your favorite, and then click the link at the bottom of the page of entries to go VOTE for your favorite! You have until midnight on Sunday, May 9th to vote. I’ll be announcing the winners on Monday, May 10th.

And that’s all there is to it. You can only vote once, but DO spread the word to all your friends and they can come vote, too. (Actually, you can vote as many times as you want, but it only records the first vote you cast, so no need to waste your time with more than one.)

I’m not including my own Panel Challenge quilt in the voting, since that’s not really fair, but I do want to show it to you, so here it is:

It turned out way bigger than I intended from starting with that little half-yard panel, ending up at 55″ x 66″. When I’ll ever get it quilted, I don’t know, but I DO have the binding ready! My ultimate goal is to donate it to our Comfort Quilt stash at guild. I’ll post some better photos and give a few more details once I have it completely finished.

And now, the details about the Viewer’s Choice prizes. I’m keeping the results of the voting hidden until the big announcement on May 10th.

First prize: A $35 gift certificate to Needle and Foot, donated by Bernie.

Second prize: A $25 gift certificate to Missouri Star Quilt Company online.

Third prize: A $15 gift certificate to Fat Quarter Shop online.

Honorable Mention: I’ll think of something by Monday!

So go browse HERE, choose your favorite, VOTE, tell all your friends to come browse and vote, and I’ll announce the winners on the 10th!

My creativity can’t wait to get loose the next time there is a similar challenge! Must change my daily strategy to make space (that is, spend less time in catching up mode and more time in something new and fun mode). Looking at all finishes was very enjoyable.

These are all spectacular! What a great way to show off ideas and inspirations to those of us that are always hesitant to approach a panel. Thank you for inspiring us all.
