OK, so here it is the end of February, and we’re supposed to have 62 blocks made by now. I know some of you are already there, but I still have only made it to 47. I did meet the goal for the month, and added 35 more blocks, but I was behind from January, and haven’t yet made that deficit up.
I made the three quilts for our niece and nephews that I showed you HERE. I’m counting those as a total of 11 blocks, since they’re not really in “blocks”.
It was decided by popular vote that I should count my daughter’s Spiked Punch quilt as more than 6 blocks, so I’m adding 18 more to my total for that quilt.
I made 4 sample blocks to show some other color way examples for the Canning Season Quilt-Along, which you can see HERE.
And I’m still working on catching up on my Sew Sisters Bee blocks. I made a Starry Sky block for Mary:
And a Charming Stars block for Terri:
I’ve made other random blocks for scrap quilts, but I don’t like to count them until I have them all done, so I don’t lose track of whether I counted them or not. I don’t want to accidentally count them twice!
Now it’s your turn! How did you do this month?
It’s time to report in with your totals. Leave a comment or contact me to let me know your new numbers, and I’ll get the page updated. If you’re not in yet, it’s never too late to join in, so let me know you want to play along, and I’ll add you to the page.
Our new goal for March is 12 blocks, for a year-to-date total of 74. You can see all the current information by visiting the Project Page.
The prize winner for January is Andrea, who already has 186 blocks so far this year!
I need to get sewing! How about you? I wish us all a very productive March!
Even though life has interrupted us again, I was able to do another quilt top. I did 30 blocks to finish the top.
What I do is complete the top and if someone needs one or gets married I take one out that I feel is right and finish it. I get a lot of tops done that way and do not get bored. This probably does not work for most people but it does for me.
My daughter had major surgery yesterday and I am in hopes she will be coming home today. She had a hernia repair and gastric bypass. Life goes on. She should be ok the doctor said in a couple weeks. Sigh!
Managed to overachieve this month, Completed
87 blocks. Might need the extras for March
since there will be a lot going on
For Feb being such a short month, I did make 127 blocks and was able to complete my March class assignment! Class is March 25th! WOOT!
WOW! I’m definitely a slacker compared to some of you.
NOOOO! I usually do a lot of my sewing very early in the morning then again after dinner. Amazing what I get done at 4am and 7pm!
HI, Shelly! I made 308 blocks in January and 162 in February. Thanks for keeping track of this for all of us.
WOW! How do you guys get so many blocks done in one month!? Impressive.
I finished 113 blocks this month. Instead of always looking for a large block of time to sew, I have started to sew even if I only have 5 or 10 minutes to do it. I have a sewing room where I can shut the door and just leave out whatever I am working on. That really helps.
WOW! That is a lot of blocks!
Oh, I am in for 9 blocks this month.
2 blocks were sent out for a swap
2 blocks were samples of blocks I want in swap
4 blocks from the Winter Solstice program (Pat Sloan QAL) and
1 block equivalent of mini rail fence blocks (3″ blocks. . .did 25 of them so far!)
Even if I don’t get to 350 blocks for the year as long as I am moving projects along I am happy.
I have not signed up for as many swaps as I usually do & thought that I would be able to get a lot done. Guess the pressure from the swaps is what kept my production up. . . but I think I am on a roll now. LOL
I made 43 blocks for February. I am sewing along with the Sewcial Bee Sampler and making a Storm at Sea quilt for a wedding present that I need to get done by end of June. I am paper piecing this one but using the freezer paper method. It’s slow going but at least I won’t have to tear off paper when I am done.
I got the 36 blocks done for 2 quilts I am making. My oldest son thinks they should count for more since they are hand pieced and 10 by 16 inches. Also finished 12 for another quilt in progress.
63 blocks center of double irish chain quilt, now just to make the borders. 144 half square triangles for another quilt. I attended a retreat in February and have been able to sew at least 2 weekends uninterrepted.
My total for Feb is 82
My total was 36 blocks. If you want to have a look at what I was working here is the link. http://cynthiasark.blogspot.com.au/2017/02/350-block-report-2017-february.html
I had 94 blocks for February.
I had 32 blocks for February.
49 blocks for February…
Crystal in Cedar City
71 blocks….the upcoming two months will not likely be as nice!
47 for February. Two Quikts of Valor tops plus a few blocks for another project.
I’m happy to say I made 56 blocks this month. Thank you for the break next month; I will need it because I will be packing up my things and moving from Texas back to Virginia.
I did 65 this month. Much better than last month.

I got 22 made this month-all for swaps and also Pat Sloan’s Summer Solstice. A little behind on that project. We will be away the first week of the month but my small machine just may go along for the ride!
What with 2 baby quilts, a crumb block quilt, leaders and enders, heart crossed blocks, applique and complex hexagons, and RSC challenge blocks, my spontaneous construction, my total grew to 126 blocks – even I’m surprised!
I can only report 15 blocks this month. But I should get double bonus for the difficulty level of these blocks. Okay, no more whining.
Managed 24 blocks this month! They were easy ones though….and I finished quilting a table runner so I am pleased!
I managed to get 14 blocks made in February. Hopefully I can catch up next month!

Been a slow month. 14 for me.
I made 33 blocks! I also finished three projects.
54 I sent photos in an email
I got one quilt top for the expected twins done in Feb. It’s triangles so I counted each row as a block and 1 block for assembling the top for a total of 15. It’s my year for triangle quilts because the last two quilts are triangles and the one for the other twin is chevrons made from half square triangles.
I had another good blocky month, 72 Heartstrings blocks and 30 non-string blocks/equivalent rows for a total of 102.
Also got the majority of those blocks assembled too, woo hoo!

My one quilt for the month was lots of HST and that is why my total is so high.
I made 71 blocks for the month. I should have had one more but that one went in wrong so ended up ripping.
99 new blocks for a total of 167.
http://zanasninis.blogspot.com/2017/03/february-block-count.html
I got caught up in February. I made 112 blocks in February, for a year to date total of 125.
I made 28 blocks for. Feb. for total of 97 blocks so far. Don’t know where to add feb blocks. Thks for all you do
29 blocks for me this month. Sewing was interrupted by a hamstring injury–hoping I’ll be able to sit at the sewing machine again soon!

This month I had a quilt which had fairly complex blocks in terms of number of pieces per block. This included four half square triangles, eight flying geese blocks and some triangular pieces for 24 blocks. So although there were only 48 blocks, I am going to say it was a total of 72 blocks and that is probably conservative. Important fact, the quilt top is done, but no photos yet as it is a wedding gift.
I have been busy this month finishing blocks for a very large king size quilt. Total count for February is
215 blocks. Now to put it together.
February Report shows I only made 12 blocks this month. =( You did really well this month, congratulations!
You did great last month! I really like your Starry Sky block.
Last month I made 55 blocks for a total of 98. I’m glad you made March an easy month, because I’m not sure I’ll be able to do any blocks.

This month was a strong one thanks to Miss Jenna’s wedding quilt, still under construction. 54 blocks for me, making a total of 99 for me. March should be pretty good, too, because I’ll finish Miss Jenna and work on the setting blocks for my Splendid Sampler.
49 blocks for me this month
Completed 30 blocks last month.
So I forgot to log my blocks last year. This year I have done 58 blocks to date and need to get 3 more baby quilts done by summer! My girls love to give their friends baby quilts but I still can’t get them to help. Every quilt I finish is harder to give away. I love them so much! Gail M
Hi-I had 99 blocks for February and 100 for January
Hi I’m happy with what I accomplished in Feb.
16 blocks for a table topper
9 coaster blocks from topper leftovers
9 blocks from coffee panal for hot pads
total – 34.
It’s fun to keep track and a boost to get projects completed.
Your blocks are so cute. I made 79 blocks altogether. If it wasn’t for the ladies at church who need quilt tops put together for Charity I wouldn’t have half as many blocks done this month. I love this challenge!!
I surprised myself when I added them up – I made 56 blocks this month.
On February I completed 273 blocks
I have made 46 blocks in February. Plus the 39 for January= 85 blocks total. Still working on more 🙂
34 blocks for me this month. I hope to do better in March.
My blocks for February is 3 , I did sew a top together. I have been working on a photo album for my mom’s 80 birthday covering all 5 siblings, 12 grandchildren & 15 great grandchildren, it is taking all my time but needs to be complete this weekend!
Will ave more time for March blue CDs.
Should say March blocks!!

Oops…forgot to report! I have 44 blocks for February, thanks.
