Creativity Challenge #17

Posted on May 5, 2016 by prairiemoonquilts in Creativity Challenges

I had fun with this past week’s challenge. I only wish I had had more time to do more of it!

How did you do?

I started a marker drawing with Sharpies (my go-to markers). I’ll be working on this one off and on for awhile, just like a lot of my other drawings and doodles. And I’m not really loving it, so I may scratch it altogether and try again.

And for lack of anything else to draw on or draw with, I scribbled a quilting pattern onto a paper bag with a black Sharpie.

Oddly (and thankfully), I can quilt this better than I can draw it! But the bag was a bit lumpy folded up, so that was part of my problem.

But moving on . . . the next challenge is:

Illustrate something you don’t particularly care for

Insects, turnips, your neighbor’s dog.

Winter, hominy, a skunk.

Ketchup, the vacuum, the color green.

Can you tell I’ll have lots of things to choose from for mine?

You may use whatever medium you wish — whatever you think portrays your chosen subject matter the best.

Who knows? You might be so passionate in your dislike for the thing you choose to illustrate that it could become some of your best work ever!

Can’t wait to see what you come up with!
