I know there are lots of different recipes for banana bread out there, but for some reason, this one is my favorite. My entire family likes it, too, so you just gotta stick with a good thing!

1/2 cup butter or margarine

1/2 cup sugar

2 eggs

1 cup flour

1 tsp. baking soda

1/2 tsp. salt

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

1 1/2 cups mashed ripe bananas

1/4 cup milk

1 cup quick oats, uncooked

1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

In a large bowl, cream butter with sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs.

Mix flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.

Mix the milk into the mashed bananas.

To the creamed mixture alternately add some of the flour mixture and some of the banana mixture, until all three mixtures are added together.

Stir in the oats and nuts. Pour into a greased loaf pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for one hour or until tested done. Cool 10 minutes. Turn out of pan and cool completely.
