A Few Fun Things

Posted on June 7, 2017 by prairiemoonquilts in Inspiration

Since my last blog post, My Cowboy made me go to the doctor, and I’ve taken a round of antibiotics, and I think I’m on the mend.

That means I’m back at the longarm with a vengeance, because I only got further and further behind while I was gone and sick.

So I thought I’d just provide you with a few fun links to explore, since I don’t have time to blog about anything else until I meet my next looming deadline.

Amanda Jean over at Crazy Mom Quilts just started a new fun Quilt-Along from her book, “No Scrap Left Behind”, and it uses strings! It’s called the “June Quilt Quilt-Along“, and it starts HERE.

Since I have this bucket of strings to use up, I might have to jump in on this one in my spare time.

Kirsty over at Bonjour Quilts has a really cute Scrappy Cross Patchwork Block Tutorial that you might like if you’re trying to use up lots of scraps, like I am. Believe it or not, I’m not jumping in on this one, but I thought some of you might be interested! (and I might surprise myself yet)

And Lisa and Sarah over at A Spoonful of Sugar put out a tutorial for the cutest little pouches they made for Easter, but I think they’d be so cute any time — for treats, gifts, whatever — go check them out, they’re adorable! If you haven’t yet done so, you really need to just go check out their entire site — they have sooo many cute tutorials!

Also, you could have a chance to win this quilt made from Victoria Findlay Wolfe’s fabrics!  The blocks were pieced by attendees at 2016’s QuiltCon in Pasadena, then put together into this great quilt, which is being raffled off to support the fight against ALS. You can purchase your chances HERE.

That’s it for now — the longarm is calling my name!
