I’ve been done with this project since early January, but I wanted to do an un-rolling video, and just couldn’t figure that out (I’m a real tech whiz, dontcha know!) Anyway, I managed a really poor one today, and you can see it on my Instagram account (since I don’t know how to imbed a video into a blog post).
But I’m back to show you the rest of my 100 Days of Hand Embroidery project that I did during the final 100 days of 2021. You can see the first half of it HERE.
I’ll pick up where I left off in that post, with Days 49-64:

And Days 89-100:

After I was done with all the little individual motifs, I stitched a black grid in between them all (which you can see in some of the photos). Then I put a backing on it to hide the ugly backside:

Then I added it to my embroidery spool sampler!

I bought this vintage wooden spool on Etsy, with this very intention. I’m going to fill it up with sweet little embroidery pieces until it’s full. I have my next addition planned, but haven’t started stitching it yet. (You can see the unrolling video of the entire piece on my IG account.)
And on March 10th, I embarked on my next 100 Days project, which I’ll tell you about in a couple days.
Your embroidery is so cute!! I love what you are doing. Hugs,
Love your embroidery! It is absolutely gorgeous! Thanks for sharing it.
So cute! Almost enough to spur me into going back to the embroidery project that I started probably a decade ago.
Your embroidery is adorable! I’ve been working on a big cross stitch for a few years. I don’t pick it up that often but now I’m challenging myself to do at least an hour a week on it. I managed to do an hour tonight.
So very clever! And proof that you can do something for 100 days. I wonder if I could do something for 100 days…
They are so cute! I’ll have to stick with my machine embroidery though.
So, do you hang the roller up and unfurl it to see it then roll it back up when you’re done?
What a cute idea & embroideries. l’d been thinking of doing something similar with cross stitch … so many ideas … so little time. l think l need 75hr days … ha
Wonderful work! It should be required of all us stitchers. Another UFO for me to add to the pile…
