100 Days

There are 100 days left in 2018!

What are you going to do with them?

Three times a year, I make a list: 100 Things to do in the Next 100 Days. I always try to start my last list on this day, so it ends right at the end of the year.

It’s a little game I play with myself to spur me into action. I like to see if I can actually DO the 100 things in the 100 days.

And theoretically, if I do one thing a day off the list, I would get the list finished, but sometimes the jobs are larger than I envision — imagine that!

I keep my lists in this book. It’s an old textbook that I had turned into a book with blank pages.

I’ve never gotten all 100 things completed, but I keep trying! Lots of times, the unfinished items from the previous list get moved forward, but then that leaves holes to add lots of new things.

It’s completely quilting related, and contains items such as “Make some zipper pouches for the guild bazaar booth”, or “Add the borders to my TurnStyle quilt” . . . things like that. Putting huge projects on the list is a no-no, but the broken-down steps of a project are much more doable, and that gives me a good sense of accomplishment.

So I’m excited to tackle my list of 100 things from now till the end of the year. What will you be doing with the last 100 days of 2018?

  1. 100 thing in 100 days. Wow I might have to try it even though it sounds scary.

So………..would I be a “failure” if I did 25 things in the next 100 days?? I have been working like crazy for the past 3 weeks to get a lot of stuff to some point of completion. But I didn’t keep track. Who knew I should wait until September 25th to start my completion phase. I still remember school where 25% was an F. The rest of life isn’t so critical, is it?

I have tried something similar: 100 photos in 100 days and it was tough. However, doing something on a list might be doable. Especially if it is small enjoyable things…. like taking a walk, having coffee on the porch, watch a sunrise or set….. I’m going to give it a try, even though I already behind on days…..

I can’t seem to figure out 100 items. I found 50 to help finish up some of these things, but not 100. LOL
    I’ll add to my list.
