I have not been doing as well as I had envisioned with putting away one thing a day. It’s not hard, but you do actually have to pay attention and remember to do it! But I’m still gonna keep trying for another couple weeks, anyway. How did you do with it?
Hopefully, it’s made a bigger difference for you than it has for me so far.
Because here we are, it’s already time for the next challenge!
What shall we do this time?
I’m going out on a limb with this one, but here it is:

For me, this is going to depend on if I can finally get my bookcase moved over into my new studio. All my books are in various piles in the floor right now, waiting on me to move that one last piece of furniture over. But it’s been so snowy and icy and bitterly cold, that moving furniture has simply not been on the list. This week it’s to warm up some, so if it’s not too muddy between the houses, maybe I can tackle this job. Time will tell.
Are your books and magazines all in order? I was pretty sure I got rid of all the ones I don’t want earlier in our move, but as I go to put them back into my bookcase, who knows? Maybe I’ll find some more I can part with to clear more space. Either way, it will sure be nice to have them all back where they belong and up off the floor!
Woot! I’m ahead on this one! Tidying one thing a day led to a few more things, so I didn’t feel so guilty when I miss a couple of days!
Organizing books for me is always a chance to reacquaint myself with old favorites — which means it takes me forever! Definitely not a quick task.
I’m a failure at one thing a day. Maybe will have better luck with the books & magazines. Hope so
Nearly finished with one room put away…my books are overflowing again. This will be a good one to do. Besides all my Quiltfolk, I could let the rest of my magazines go. I haven’t opened them since I last sorted, I know I started the reduction while I still worked…2014 is when my coworker retired. I had taken a bunch into the office for her to review. Where had time gone?!?!
Just yesterday I said to myself “I need another organizing task”. My sewing surface was atrocious from working on scrap quilts. I managed to clear it before I left the studio and then this morning I pulled up your blog. Hoorah!!
