I have another new pattern out!
This one is called “Baby Baby!”, and it’s a very quick and easy baby quilt that you can personalize with a bit of easy appliqué.
There are two versions, and I’m calling them the Girl version and the Boy version, altho they’re completely interchangeable. And you can also choose your own color combinations, naturally.
I made the pink one for my cousin’s first grandchild, a girl named Hunter.
The boy version was made for my daughter’s friend, who was having a boy, and decorated his nursery in gray and aqua.
There are instructions for two sizes in the pattern: 36″ x 46″, and 40″ x 50″. One version has borders to make it a bit bigger.
One has star blocks pieced into the bottom portion, and the other version shows how you can skip the piecing of the star blocks and just use plain squares in those spots.
Add borders or leave them off, make the stars or use plain squares instead, and use your favorite method of appliqué for the name — OR, leave the name off and use a fun novelty print in that space — it all depends on the size you want, and how fast you need to whip it up!
There is a complete set of alphabet templates included, in both upper- and lowercase, so you can personalize the quilt however you wish.
I think it would also be cute to use the alphabet to personalize other matching items for baby, like a pillow, pillowcase, bib, or diaper bag.
