Creativity Challenge #13

How are your mini quilts coming along?

Did you finish yours? Is it still in the works?

Mine is not yet finished, but I have made progress.

I won this little tiny wedge ruler at our guild’s retreat a couple weeks ago, and I’ve been wanting to try it out so much I decided to use it for my mug rug. I grabbed some scraps . . .

And cut my pieces:

I’m busily making wedges in between other more urgent stitching matters, and when I get it all put together, I’ll be sure and show you.

But moving on — today is a very special day!

It’s National Color Crayon Day!

Which gives me a very good reason to offer up this week’s Creativity Challenge as:

Color with crayons!

We’ve doodled with crayons before, and I’m happy to say mine has grown some since the last time I showed you:

Maybe this week I can finish it.

You can color this week on whatever you want. Grab some color books and color with your kids. Color pictures you’ve already got, or draw your own pictures to color. Color in your adult coloring book. Just color! Color a lot! It’s stress-reducing and fun, and it’s also a great way to do something with your kids.

Happy National Color Crayon Day!

My creative challenge is to get back into my quilting room. I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired. LOL
