Studio Organizing, Week 43

Posted on October 22, 2015 by prairiemoonquilts in Studio Organizing Challenge

Well, I managed to do away with a few magazines, and I neatened up the pile, but . . . most of it is still there, and will still need to be dealt with again in the future. Some of these tasks are just more than I can handle in one week! How about you?

This week’s task is another repeat:

Clean out a drawer

If all your drawers are organized, then choose a shelf. If all your shelves are organized, then I’m really jealous, because I can’t seem to get this under control. Drawers are hiding spots, and shelves are catchalls.

This is the drawer I’ll be tackling this week. It’s large and full. I’m not sure what’s in there past that piece of fabric you see on top.

drawer

Wish me luck. And I wish you all luck as well. Go tackle a messy drawer — you might find something that surprises you! I’ll let you know if I find anything worthwhile in mine.

I got magazines on the shelf and I have picked my drawer to work on. I have no idea what is in there.

There was no alignment of planets, stars or moons this week. I was too busy out having fun to organize. We are supposed to be rained in this weekend so maybe I will accomplish something!

It’s good to keep the pressure on. I actually finished my little cleaning project this morning. I combined 4 block of the month folders into one binder. I think I need to go through a few more binders.

As I do not have drawers for this weeks project I will clean a bin from on my shelf.

You know what? I give up trying to be neat. It’s a sewing room and it is and should get messy if your quilting. Or even just plain sewing for that matter. I clean up after I am done with the project I am working on. That is before I start another one. No need to pile up the mess upon mess. I know where everything is and when I need it I know exactly where it is.

Other then my hubby and daughter nobody should be nosing into my sewing room unless asked to come in. My room is clean enough to be healthy and dirty enough to be happy. 😉
Sorry if I seem grouchy. But I’m too old to worry about my sewing room. It is what it is!!!

Sigh. Glad I got that off my chest. If it takes 2 minutes to mess it up it will take 2
minutes to clean it up. That was what my mother always taught me. And it stuck with me.
