Apple Crisp

I got this recipe from a young girl that My Cowboy and I used to work with. I discovered it when she brought it to a department potluck dinner one time. In September, when I buy apples by the box, I make this a lot. I supposed you could serve it with whipped topping or ice cream, but I never have a problem just eating it warm right out of the pan.

5-6 cups peeled & chunked apples

1 cup flour

1 cup sugar

1 tsp. baking powder

3/4 tsp. salt

1 egg

1/3 cup melted butter, cooled

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

1/2 cup brown sugar

Place peeled and chunked apples in a greased 9 x 13 pan.

Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and egg till crumbly. Sprinkle over the apples. Drizzle the butter over the top.

Mix the cinnamon and brown sugar together and sprinkle over the entire thing. Bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
