Western Lady

This year’s boot is called “Western Lady”. I went back to a bit simpler boot this year, letting the fabric do more of the work for me, and adding that bit of chain for an extra interesting embellishment.
The appliqué on this one is minimal, and the embroidery is completely optional. Both can be done by hand or machine.
“Western Lady” stands 14″ tall, and is 9 3/4″ wide from heel to toe. She’s 4 1/8″ wide at the narrowest part, and 5 1/4″ wide at the top. The lining fills the body portion of the stocking, but does not extend into the toe part.
As usual, with any of the Cowboy Boot Stocking patterns, you can reduce or enlarge the stocking to whatever size you need. You can reverse the pattern to make it point the opposite direction, and altho I usually only put the design on one side of my stockings, you can put the design on both sides to make it reversible, if you wish.
Even tho this stocking is made up as more cowgirl-ish, you could certainly change it up to better suit a cowboy instead — the stockings are easy to customize for your own favorite cowpoke!
The pattern is available in my Etsy shop in a PDF version. I’m not making a printed version of the pattern, but if you prefer a printed version, please message me and I can make you one up special.
And, as usual, I have a limited number of kits available that include everything you need to make the stocking as shown. The printed pattern is included with the kit so you don’t have to purchase it separately, and it comes all packaged up in a bright red bandana!
“Western Lady” makes #14 in the series. I’ve been doing these since 2008! I almost didn’t do one this year, but got talked into it by some of the Cowboy Boot Stocking fans, so here she is! I hope you like her!
