Here we are once again at that point in the year when there are only 100 days left! (And it’s the first day of fall, my favorite season.)
What are you going to be doing with them?
I’m once again making my list of “100 Things To Do in the Next 100 Days” in the book I had especially made for that purpose:

I have yet to ever get all 100 things finished, but that doesn’t stop me from trying. As I was making out the new list last night, I realized that so many of the things on the list are being moved along quite nicely, even if they’re not finished, and it’s because of the list that I’m even working on them! So . . . even if they don’t get done, progress is being made, and several DO get finished, and eventually the others will, too.
I’ve been known to delete things off the list that become irrelevant, and each time, I get to add in new things to replace the ones that got finished from before, so I never have a shortage of ideas to pull from to work on.
If you’re on Instagram, there are also lots of 100 Days Challenges that you can choose from. You can make up your own — choose what you’d like to work on for 100 Days and see if you can do it every day for 100 days. Search the hashtag: #100daysproject for some ideas of what others have done with their 100 Days.
I’ve done several of these before. One was for appliqué, one was for knitting, and my favorite was 100 Days of Hand Embroidery:

So . . . are you going to make a list of 100 things to do? Take on a 100 Days Project? These 100 days are going to pass either way, so you might as well challenge yourself to get something done before the end of the year, right?
Let me know what you’re intending to tackle in the comments!
I have three paper piecing projects in various stages, would like to get all of the blocks finished and the quilt top completed.
Just survive! Going to be gone most of Oct traveling to see our 3 granddaughters in TN & CO. Do have some hand-sewing to do to keep busy.
Think I will start slow and small. And work on my handpiecing project 100 days in a row
At least something on it. And move it along.
I have a 365 Stitch Therapy I started 11/29/22. (I thought I was getting a head start in the New Year.) I’m actually behind now. I lack 162. Maybe I can stitch 100 of them in the next 100 days. And definitely move it along. I will say I have enjoyed it.
That’s how I work best, Shelly. Many projects that get worked on as the spirit directs. Toddler quilt to finish quilting, sunflower (dresden) to sew along with little ones, 9 pillowcases, big pink heart top, etc.
I’m taking the challenge!
My trick is to make each/most simple. As go thru one box of Christmas NOT “go thru all Christmas boxes!”!
Do shelf one in pantry, then shelf 2 etc. …. Not declutter the whole pantry! Easier to get to 100 and feel productive.
So many projects in the works – so many on the want to do list! Back to rain here and finally working on quilting unfinished top number 3. Playing with ruler work.
Also auditioning fabrics for your quilt pattern for HRH! Top of list – tidy up after myself! Not sure about 100 things though – I might stress myself out along with the outside chores – yikes! LOL!
xx
I’m in with the same goal as last year in an attempt to overcome procastination. My latest is the quilting books I have accumulated and now am in the process of donating, reshelving some, putting some to use for projects, etc. Like most of the projects I have tackled, this is taking way longer than I thought it would, but is definitely worth the effort–even found some duplicates! This will be more fun and interesting if I allow myself 100 days to work on this consistently.
Would dearly love to finish my hand pieced/quilted/embroidered hexie quilt this year. I need to finish embroidery and bind it. I think a “100” project of 1 hour/day for 100 days is a good challenge.
My husband and I have decided to do 100 days of working on the house. Yesterday we got started building back on lowering the living room ceiling to 8′ instead of 10′. Gotta love old houses that are far from square…
I love this idea! I’m a day behind here but I think I’ll start a list now anyway. (99 in 99??)
Oh, the 100 list! I started to make one last week and it morphed into a project list room by room. Some big projects and some of those little things I don’t ever do to completely finish my project. I’m sure I can add more but it’s at 136 right now. It kind of overwhelms me because it’s all in addition to all the other stuff that’s just routine…laundry, cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, etc. Then there is my sewing and longarm list. It’s all too much! I just want to sit on the couch and watch utube😱 or sleep.
That being said, I’m going to try one of the other challenges…I’ll be happiest if I can do either sewing, longarming or embroidery each day. I will be traveling some so I will just have to do my best with hitting 100. I think if I do more than one in a day I’ll count each. My longarm challenge was pretty successful but I haven’t done any since🤪. And the tops have piled up so it’s time!
This is such a good idea. I have less than 100 days, but hopefully I will get a list made. It would be useful any time of the year.
