Traditions Made Modern

Look what my mail lady brought me today!
EEEEEeeeeee!

My long-awaited copy of “Double Wedding Ring Quilts: Traditions Made Modern”, by none other than the Queen of Double Wedding Rings herself, and my good friend, Victoria Findlay Wolfe!

Even though I’m snowed under with deadlines, I sat right down and went through the entire thing.

But again, as with Victoria’s first book, 15 Minutes of Play, I’m gonna keep going back to this one over and over. There are just so many ideas and options and such inspiration within the pages!

V autographed my copy for me, since I quilted 3 of the quilts in the book for her. She called me talented (giggle) and said she was honored — but I’M the one who is honored to have been chosen to quilt them for her!

Who’da thunk my quilting would be making an appearance in the same book as quilting done by Karen McTavish!??

Here’s one of the quilts I quilted for her (I love it, and it’s not even my favorite):

The book is very nicely done (by C&T Publishing), and I believe you need to get yourself a copy, if you have any interest at all in Double Wedding Ring quilts. But even if you don’t, there’s inspiration inside for more than just that — it’s worth a read, no matter what.

You can pre-order your own copy right HERE. Victoria left for Japan this morning, where she’ll be teaching some classes and talking to folks in the JUKI booth at a big show, but she’ll be back in early February to finish shipping out all the pre-orders, so go get your order in!
