Wishing you all the very merriest of Christmases from all of us here at the ol’ ranch!
I hope Santa brings you everything you need, and that you’re spending the holidays exactly how you want to.
On this day back in 1965, our mother was in the hospital giving birth to our brother, Darin. I’m sure she thought he was the best Christmas gift ever! Hmm . . . well . . . really, we think he’s all right, too.
The postlady brought a really sweet gift from our friend, Karin, that just made My Cowboy’s day:
(Karin wrote a tutorial for these HERE. My Cowboy thinks it’s especially funny that the reindeer poops out the Whoppers!)
And she also sent us a book, so he’s got some reading material for those days when he can’t get off the couch, poor guy.
I can only hope that my sister is making me my own private batch of Pecan Pralines, while I’m here at home taking it easy and working on some last-minute things I want to finish before the end of the year.
Merry Christmas, everyone!
Merry Christmas Shelly I hope ya’ll have a wonderful Christmas and the Happiest on New Years!!!!
I hope that you and Cowboy have a great Christmas. Ours is gonna be quiet. Just George and I. We’re gonna watch movies! We don’t do that very often. I think there is even a Sherlock Holmes or two and of course, a Western or two.
I remember this night well in 1965. Ron had been in Vietnam not even a month. I was working the night shift, and yes, I was in the delivery room with your mom when Darin came into the world. It was a cold, snowy, and very slick night. In fact, the roads weren’t in the best of conditions. I didn’t mind working on Christmas Eve, It helped me and I hoped that I was helping others. Can’t believe it has been that long. Merry Christmas.
Merry Christmas to you and yours. From the WET Rainy State of Maine. No white Christmas for us this year. Very disappointing.
Merry Christmas to you and Cowboy. Hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas. Have a Pecan Praline for me.
Merry Christmas! I hope you get your pralines. That sounds so good. My mother used to make them. I can’t remember the last time I had one, even store-bought! I love your Mare-y Christmas piece.
Merry Christmas, Shelly! Hope you had a great holiday and get to finish all of your last-minute projects before the week’s end! All the best to you and your family in 2015!
