INDEX Quilt

Posted on October 30, 2012 by prairiemoonquilts in Give-Aways

Kristy Daum, of St. Louis Folk Victorian, has a new pattern out.

It’s called INDEX, and it’s a really neat quilt.

Kristy gathered together some pattern testers, and we all got the pattern to try out ahead of time.

She said, “Oh, just make a couple blocks . . .”, but let me tell you right now, this block is addictive!

I ended up with an entire quilt, and I love it! (in spite of my horrible photography!)

The pattern is jelly-roll friendly, but please . . . I have enough stash to create about 3000 jelly rolls of my own, so I dug through my stash to make mine and just cut my own strips. All I had to be careful of was that they didn’t blend into my aqua background fabric and disappear. (Yes, that’s aqua, and yes, I do need a new camera — why do you ask?)

Naturally, I don’t have my quilt quilted yet, because “the electrician’s house is never wired” — I’m so busy with customer quilts I have no time to quilt my own. But I’ll be back once I have it quilted with some better pictures of mine (I hope). In the meantime, just keep looking at Kristy’s — her photos are wonderful. The pattern comes with clear instructions and several size options, and is available either in printed form or a PDF version. It’s available right now in Kristy’s Etsy Shop HERE.

And all us pattern testers are doing a Blog Hop for Kristy’s pattern launch, and she’s allowing us each to give away a PDF copy of the new pattern to one lucky winner on each blog. So go visit all these other fine folks, and get in as many chances as you can to win:

October 28: Kristy

October 29: Annie, and Andi

October 30: ME! and Nancy

October 31: Happy Halloween!

November 1: Beth, and Jess

November 2: Sara, and Jacey

All you have to do to get a chance to win here is leave a comment on this post. I’ll draw for a winner on November 3.

UPDATE: The winner of the INDEX pattern is Diane Jarvis.

I have a couple jelly rolls in my stash, but like you, I could make thousands of my own. I’ve got a set of floral strips that would love to go into a quilt like this. I might even use aqua for a background to set them off–yours is lovely.
