Friday Night Sew-In for September

Posted on September 22, 2012 by prairiemoonquilts in Quilt-Alongs & Bees

I barely squeezed in under the wire for this one. I almost forgot it was time, then thought I’d missed it, then got signed up, then got invited out to supper . . . so . . .

I didn’t get started until 7:30.

I sewed one quilt block (that I can’t reveal until Monday), and then longarm quilted the rest of the night. And I can’t show you that quilt, either, until the customer has seen it first and I get her permission to show it to you.

So that’s kind of a boring Friday Night Sew-In report, huh?

So as to not leave you completely without any quilting eye candy, I’ll show you a few other things I’ve been working on lately.

I pieced on some scrappy blocks, and I’ll be showing you this quilt later next week, I hope.

I was digging through a drawer cleaning, and came across a kit I had made for myself. Imagine that! All cut and ready to go. So I’m leader/endering this quilt, and I’ll show you more of it later, too.

I finished two more blocks of my Grandmother’s Flower Garden quilt that I’m English paper piecing.

And all that’s left is to weave in my loose ends, and put the fringe on this scarf, and it’ll be done.

So I’ve been keeping busy, even when it’s not Friday night. How did YOUR Friday Night Sew-In go?

Join me over at Heidi’s and we can browse through the entire list of participants and see what they were up to. It’ll help me procrastinate on everything else I should be doing!

Can’t wait to see your quilt block on Monday, always fun to see what you have come up with! I have been fighting a bad sinus headache the last two days, so not much sewing for me I am afraid and today, there are goat feet waiting to be trimed, ugh! So, back outside for me here in just a few, enjoy your day!

  2. You are looking good! I recognize that pink flamingo fabric! LOL. You got more sewing done than I did Friday night. I missed my groups FNSI, because I had a party to attend for work. But, I had a good sewing day on Saturday. Didn’t get much done, but had a great time!

  3. Sounds like a super busy and productive FNSI! I love those flower garden blocks. 🙂
