I’m totally blown away by all the awesomeness already entered into the Blogger’s Quilt Festival.
I finally decided which quilt I’d like to show you. I just asked myself, “Self, what is your favorite quilt right now? The one you keep looking at and loving on, even though it’s been finished for awhile?”
And it’s this one:
Scrappy Wild Geese
Last year I was asked to teach a weekend workshop at a quilter’s retreat that was held at a Bed & Breakfast in the country. (The weekend was so fun and fabulous!) They wanted me to design a project specifically for their workshop, so I designed two different projects, and let them pick their favorite, and this is the one they chose.
I’m so glad, because I really fell in love with this quilt when I had it done. It’s all scrappy, and I was evidently having a very inspired creative day when I chose the scraps I wanted to use for it.
And I even love how I quilted it, even though I can’t get the quilting to show up in pictures.
Here’s the stats:
It measures 86″ x 101″.
It uses the Fast Flying Geese technique to make the geese. No triangles, no waste, and fast!
I quilted it myself, and it would best fit in the Scrap Quilt, Bed Quilt, or Professionally Quilted category.
I’m entry #427 in the Festival.
Be sure and go visit all the other entries HERE. Really, I’m blown away by all the fabulousness!
Love it!!! I’ve never tried flying geese because of the triangles…maybe you can give me a lesson on yours in July…just sayin 😉
