A Roundup of Valentine Projects

Yes, already . . . Valentine’s Day is just 32 days away!

I thought I’d give you some links to all my Valentine’s projects/tutorials today, and also throw in a few from other people that I think are too cute. That way, you have plenty of time to whip up your Valentine project without stressing out too much about it, right?

The Love in Chains Quilt, a free pattern I designed for Dear Stella:

Candy Hearts, a free pattern I debuted last year for Valentine’s Day:

Valentine Pinkeep, a tutorial for a little Victorian-style sewing notion that you can decorate as you choose:

Valentine Apron, patterned after an apron my mother once wore:

The pattern for this little appliquéd wall quilt (which could also be made as a pillow), can be found in my Etsy Shop — Be Mine Valentine Wall Quilt — in either print or PDF versions. The pattern is on sale at a reduced price from now until Valentine’s Day, too!

If you’re in the mood for baking as well as crafting, here’s my Aunt Ruby’s Special Sugar Cookies recipe, used to make Valentine’s Cookies:

And here’s a good frosting recipe for them: Sugar Cookie Frosting.

Here’s a few other things I’ve seen that I really like . . .

Heart You Mini Quilt by Jemima Flendt at Tied With a Ribbon

Who’s Your Valentine? mini quilt by Amy Wade for Pink Door Fabrics

And The Paper Basket on Etsy has hand-punched paper hearts and valentine ephemera packs, which would be really cute to make your own hand-made valentine cards with!

So there you go! Lots of ideas and inspiration for your Valentine projects. I might have to make one of those mini quilts — or both of them — and make some cookies to eat while I’m sewing!

you can see all 12 of the hearts she’s designed under her free BOM BOW tab.
    Blessings

  2. Oops forgot to include this: http://ravelly1-quiltzblog.blogspot.com/p/bom.html so you actually find her tab.

You are full of great ideas for Valentine’s Day! One of these years I might actually make something…but I think I need either a daughter-in-law or a grandbaby to make a quilt for. My guys are all, “Valentine…what?” I think they will like the cookies though. As long as they bring me flowers and chocolate, it’s all good.
