I’ve been back at the longarm so steady that I’ve been making slower progress on all my own projects yet again, but I thought I’d pop in today to tell you about a few things I’ve been up to.
This week, I managed to squeeze out enough time to turn a couple of my most popular print patterns into PDF versions. My Winter Cardinal pattern is now available as a PDF:
My Wild Carnations table runner pattern is now available in a PDF version as well:
And look what I found while I was doing inventory! I still have a few of my Aweigh pillow kits — I didn’t even remember having these — guess I need to pay more attention. So I listed these in my Etsy shop, too.
The kit comes packaged in a reusable muslin bag that has an anchor design (just like the pattern) inked on the front. Inside the kit, you’ll find everything needed to make the Aweigh design into a wall hanging or a pillow (if you decide to do a pillow, you’ll need a pillow form). Fabric, batting, backing, pre-made binding, pillow back fabric, buttons, and a little bonus: a skein of red embroidery floss that you can use to embroider the design on the front of the kit bag, if you wish! The pattern is included, too, so you don’t have to purchase it separately. All you need is your own quilting thread and your favorite hand sewing supplies!
I’ve made a bit of progress on the second version of my Forever Fencin’ quilt. I need lots of blocks, and I haven’t counted how many I have just yet:
And today, I’m hoping to finish up this Flower Pillow that I started in a class with Renee Nanneman of Need’l Love a couple years back. All it needs is the backing and stuffing — why do I procrastinate so?
I’m also steeling myself to begin this project:
I do NOT like to paper foundation piece, but I love this quilt so much, I’m willing to put myself through the agony to make it — haha! It’s called “Sliced”, and it’s by Amber at Gigi’s Thimble. I think it’ll help me use up even more scraps and stash. Anyone wanna volunteer to come over and tear all the paper off the back when I’m done? That’s the part I hate!
One more reminder: The 2017 rendition of The 350 Blocks Project kicked off on Monday. Be sure and let me know if you want to join in with us this year.
Oh, wait — one more reminder: There’s a give-away going on from my last post, so go get your name in the pot for that!
What have you been working on lately?
