350 Blocks

Posted on August 13, 2012 by prairiemoonquilts in 350 Blocks Project

I’m done! I made it to 350 blocks.

I intended to give myself all year to do it, but it was way easier than I thought it would be. It’s not even September yet, and I’ve made 350 quilt blocks this year — so far.

Just because I’ve met my goal doesn’t mean I’ll be stopping the block making. Just the opposite, in fact.

Our guild has a retreat next weekend, and I intend to make many, many blocks while I’m there.

Last time we had a retreat, I finished 5 quilt tops over that weekend. This time I’m shooting for SIX — haha! I’ll have to keep you posted on how that goes!

Here are the final blocks that got me to my goal . . .

Two more Scrap Jar Stars blocks:

And two more tiny little Half-Square Triangle blocks:

At this rate, I’ll have to have a million of these to make anything, they’re so small!

Now I’m going to have to think up some other challenge to keep myself busy with until the end of the year. I may do another 350 Blocks Project starting in 2013. If you’re interested, let me know . . .

Wow! You did it! But I never had any doubt! Looks like this is a good way to keep track of progress for you! I ought to consider this for next year.

  2. Way to go! That’s pretty amazing! I should keep track of how many blocks I make one year. I bet it would be depressing, though. LOL. Have fun on retreat!

Terrific! I absolutely love your scrap jar stars.
