St. Patty’s Day!

Posted on March 17, 2017 by prairiemoonquilts in Miscellaneous

I’m at a retreat at Sew Sweet Quilt Shop with all my guild peeps! We’re having fun, and getting a lot of eating sewing done.

(I’ll try to remember to post some pictures of what I’m working on on my Instagram page @prairiemoonquilts, if you want to follow me there.)

The weather is fantastic, and I think there’s even supposed to be a St. Patrick’s Day parade here in Brunswick tomorrow!

Meanwhile, in honor of St. Patrick’s day, I’m giving you a link to a St. Patrick’s Day-related quilt I did for my cousin a few years back, plus a funny story on My Cowboy of how we spent one particular St. Patty’s Day at the hospital (we really know how to party!).

Our St. Patty’s Day

And here’s a little Irish-themed table mat I made years ago, which was given to me in the form of a pre-cut kit by my friend, Rose Marie:

Tomorrow is National (Worldwide?) Quilting Day, so I hope you’ll be sewing! I’ll be here at retreat. If you’re in the area of Sew Sweet Quilt Shop, drop in and visit us!

Cute table mat………..even if I did cut it out for you.

I hope you have fun. I promised George I would take him to the winery if he was good all day. He tried really, really hard. I only heard curse words once when he was trying to button his shirt cuff buttons.
We are back from the winery now and he is a happy Irishman. If you remember his mother was almost 100% Irish. I told the doctor down at the VA clinic not to expect much from him………….since he is an Irish sailor. She said quite seriously, “I see.”
