Made With Love

The fabric’s been in stores since last fall sometime, but I keep forgetting to show you the little project I made for Dear Stella for Quilt Market last fall.

This line by Rae Ritchie called “Made with Love“, has a cute little sewing notions print, and a panel with pre-printed labels that you can use on your quilts!

For their booth at Market, Dear Stella had me use the panel in one piece, and show some of the different things you can do with the labels.

I embroidered names and phrases on them, then embellished with extra embroidery, beads, buttons, and charms. (You can click on the photo to see it bigger.)

I hand quilted it on the lines that separate the labels, and made little tabs at the top so it could be hung on a rod.

Heather at Crimson Tate has some cute pictures of what she did with some of the labels for Christmas — she made ornaments and gift tags, and used some of them for sewing onto projects. You can see her ideas HERE, plus a photo of the entire label panel. It’s cute!

You can see pictures of the full fabric collection HERE. I love the hand lettering, and the colors are great.

So if you need a quick and easy quilt label, look for this panel in your favorite quilt shop. It makes putting a label on your quilt not such a chore!

Dear Stella sent me a little bit extra of the fabric (in case I needed to experiment, or if I messed up), and while I think the labels are so cute, I’m keeping some of them for myself, I have some extras that I’m giving away right here and now!

So if you’d like to have a chance to win a few labels AND a fat quarter of the sewing notions print to go along with it, just leave a comment here. In fact, you’ll have two chances, because I have two prizes to give away. I’ll draw for two winners next Tuesday, the 24th.

You might need a label to put on a Valentine’s project, right?

UPDATE: The winners are Swooze and Sarah Aldrich! Thanks to everyone who played along! I appreciate you reading.
