Did you find three things that needed attention last week?
I found more than three, but chose to ignore them in favor of the more urgent ones that were screaming for attention.
I didn’t get any filing done, but I did get my desk cleared off . . . again.
I didn’t get all the fabric put away, but I managed to put some of it away.
And I did re-organize a few UFOs (and packed them up), because I have a retreat this weekend, and hope to work on a bunch of projects, so they’re all ready to go.
It seems like I never get completely done with anything, doesn’t it?
And you know what else? I can NOT dip into my fabric bins without starting a new project — it is impossible for me to resist that urge. No wonder the fabric never all gets put away!
This week’s task is another repeat, but we haven’t done it since May, and it bears doing a couple times a year:
I’m admittedly a bit ahead of the game on this one, because I just had my sewing machine serviced while I was gone to Houston, and she’s back all fresh and clean.
Now, I need to clean up the area where she sits, too. Little random pieces scattered everywhere!
And since my sewing machine is clean, I think I’ll give my longarm machine and its area a good once over, too. We’ve been having some really nice weather, which has allowed us to have the windows open, and we live on a dirt and gravel road — just envision the dust, if you will.
If your sewing machine needs it, give it a cleaning, or even have it serviced, if you need to. It’ll thank you for it. And while you’re at it, clean up the area around it. It’ll be like a breath of fresh air to sit down and sew in a nice clean, neat space!
