You need to get your hands on this magazine!
The Fall, 2015, issue of Quilts and More magazine. My friend, Victoria Findlay Wolfe, has a quilt in it, and it’s wonderful . . .
A very graphic quilt using Lynn Krawczyk’s fabric, Inked, along with some very striking pieces for the setting from Red Rooster.
I had the honor of quilting this quilt for Victoria, and it was fun to do. All ruler work, except for the very center Inked squares. I used Superior’s OMNI thread in Dark Gray for the quilting, and we chose to put Quilter’s Dream Poly Select batting in the middle. I think they’ve named it “Cube of Color,” but the whole time I was working on it, I kept referring to it as “The X Quilt.” Can you see the X’s?
I just love the bold look of it, and it uses big pieces, so it would be a quick one to make. Go grab a copy of the magazine for the pattern, and you’ll be all set!

I just bought the issue last Sat. It is great, along with other fun looking quilts.
I forgot. I do see the x’s. I wonder if it could be done so the x’s are primary?
It’s definitely a dramatic quilt, bold and colorful. Your quilting emphasizes that and is just perfect for it.
Awesome quilt!
Very cool!
I saw this quilt in Victoria’s IG feed and thought how lovely the quilting is, and how it really adds to the pattern. I should have known you were the artist behind it! Beautiful!
