The Three Witches

If you like Halloween, I hope you love this project! It’s called “The Three Witches”.

There’s a story about the three witches. It’s from “Macbeth”, a short play by Shakespeare. You’ve heard of him, right? I’m a Shakespeare fan. And I’ve wanted to make a quilt representing the Three Witches for a long time now.

When Riley Blake said I could use their new fabric line called “Witch Hazel” for a tutorial, I figured the time had come!

“Witch Hazel” is by October Afternoon, and I love every single fabric in the line!

My tutorial shows how to make this little mini quilt featuring the Three Witches. The top and bottom borders have embroidery on them (a quote from “Macbeth”) and the embroidered center panel features the Three Witches at work.

You can get the tutorial here: The Three Witches. When you download the PDF file for the embroidery patterns, you also get instructions for creating a Halloween pillow:

This fabric line can do so much, and it’s just so stinkin’ cute!

If you like this one, stay tuned, because a bit later, there’s a larger quilt coming that also features the Three Witches, in even more detail. If you like Halloween, like to hand embroider, and might be a Shakespeare fan, you’ll wanna get your hands on this pattern!

UPDATE: The larger version is now available, and you can read all about it HERE.
