May 350 Blocks Report

Posted on June 1, 2014 by prairiemoonquilts in 350 Blocks Project

I would have posted this yesterday, but I was off galavanting — my guild was having their 29th annual quilt show (more on that later).

We are almost half done with this year — I can hardly believe it.350button14

And it seems the further into the year we get, the slower I go. I only managed 3 blocks this month.

All three of these are for guild Community Service group projects:3Blocks

I made several quilts in May, but since none of them are for me, I can’t count those blocks. If I could, I’d be way ahead! Maybe in June I’ll get to sew on some things of my own. We’ll see . . .

How did YOU do in May?

It’s time to report in! Leave a comment, a link to a post of your own, or contact me to let me know how many blocks you made in May.

I’ve updated the Project page with the new goal for June. We’re shooting for a total of 170 blocks by June 30. Go! Gitchyer stitchin’ on . . .

It was a better month for me. 31 blocks. That puts me at 107 for the year. I hope to be truly caught up by the end of June. I will need to average 2 blocks a day, but with school out there is a chance.

I’m sure I’m not the big winner, but I did manage to get the center of my Celtic Solstice quilt together and a long term project made into a top. That project required 14 new blocks because some of the colors were just not working with the pattern. Those will go onto the back. I worked on some guild blocks and group projects, too. Anyway, my total was 36!

  23. Shar says:

I know I’m late again! I was out of town. Then my life would not pull together when I got home. I count was for my 350. I put together 1 complete quilt and 2 partial quilts. You can read all about it here http://stitchedwithfriends.blogspot.com/2014/06/mays-block-count.html

  24. KatieQ says:

I’m late posting, but I managed to finish 111 blocks in May. I only used scraps and older fabrics from my stash, but I still haven’t made a dent in the piles of fabric in my sewing room.

  25. Susan says:

    I finished 2 farmer’s wife and 6 alphabet blocks.
